Competition and School Games
The School Games is the national approach to competitive school sport designed to motivate and inspire all young people. Delivered locally by Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport and School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPAN). The School Games provides a year-round calendar of competition for all students across the county, involving young people aged 7-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds.
Our schools all run intra-school sport (level 1), please click here to see how The Lancaster School for Boys get their students involved.
Winning teams from Level 2 completion represent their 'partnership area' at county-wide finals events, events such as The Super-Series Finals. The Super-Series Finals run throughout the year in a selection of sports. Finally the winning teams progress to Level 3 competition, the Winter School Games Championships and the Summer School Games Championships.
